Axonometric plans illustration

Elevation illustration

Software:
Adobe Illustrator
Illustration:
This illustration was created using 2d drawing/illustration software making it a vector file - this means it can be reproduced at any scale (as big as the original building itself if desired) without any loss of quality whatsoever. Had it been produced in PhotoShop, this would not have been the case. The client wanted a balance struck between 'artistic' and simple. For this reason, the style errored towards a plainer finish while still capturing the distinctive characters of the old facades. An architectural elevation drawing was supplied by the client for reference. The design agency added it to the cover of a large printed folio item - shown below.
Project:
This freelance visual was commissioned for inclusion in a bigger interpretation project completed by a design agency who have considerable experience with museum projects (below).
Building:
Bessie Surtees House (English Heritage), Newcastle. UK
