Illustrative architectural plans
- Software:
- Adobe Illustrator
- Illustration:
- As all architects and building managers know, most people find plans difficult to orientate themselves to or to understand well. These plans were produced with the express purpose of allowing people to orientate themselves within an historic building.
- Supplied plans were redrawn in Illustrator and simplified, while maintaining their architectural authenticity (technical style). Historic information was supplied about the extent of the various sections of the property (constructed independantly and joined later) for Lynne, a freelance designer and illustrator, to digest and indicate on the plans in different colours. The illustrations (including an alternative 'key' on the right) were supplied to the design agency who included them in the large format display folio illustrated above.
