Created without the aid of 3D/CAD software. A quick perspective produced in an illustrative traditional hand-drawn style. The existing fireplace and original parquet flooring colours needed accurate representation.

CAD renderings tend to produce presentations which seem 'cold' and impersonal to a home owner. It takes a lot of 3D CAD work modelling lighting to get anywhere near what two strokes of an illustrators (digital) marker can create. Home owners are looking for 'warmth' and a welcoming atmosphere – so a cold presentation can make it difficult for a them to feel confident about proceeding with the interior design scheme.

A big advantage of digital illustrations is that if the illustrator builds their illustration in the right way, alternative colour schemes are quick to produce.
